Is Billy Harper getting his money's worth from $ million advertising campaign?
Elizabeth Beardsley does another marvelous job highlighting the primary elections, taking aim at Billy Harper's self-financed campaign for Governor where he has spent "a couple of $million dollars" so far and expects to spend "what it takes to win". I know Mr. Harper is VERY wealthy and has a lot of money to "get his name out", but one has to ask the question whether he's actually getting his money's worth at this time. I guess ONLY time will tell us.
Update, 01/02/2007: Mr. Harper has spent $2.5 million dollars so far -- $2.4 million from his pocket! Read it here.

Just wondering if anyone has seen the ads thus far and if so, what's your opinion?
I have seen a lot of the t.v. ads, and I have a friend who says he hears them on radio, too. The ads mostly deal with education, but appear to be geared towards getting Mr. Harper's name out to the public.
What is your opinion of the ads Doctor?
They get his name out there alright, but nothing else -- at this point -- I'm afraid.
Afraid of? Do you think the ads show him as an alternative to the Gov?
"Afraid" that's all $25 million buys him (that's a lot of "dead Presidents")! I will make my comments about the Governor's race (and endorsements) when the time is right -- and all the suspects (usual and otherwise) are revealed.
Why not speak up now
Time is NOT yet right. I shall continue to comment on the news, but not yet offer what might be termed an endorsement.
