For Hendrickson, Familiarity Breeds Contempt

Bruce Hendrickson touts a couple of experiences as qualifying him to be Secretary of State. Namely, he was a teacher and the former Mayor of Pineville. But what he doesn't tell you is that he was eventually defeated in his bid for reelection and that KY's teachers' lobby has done something nearly unthinkable: they've endorsed a Republican in a general election instead of one of their own.

What does it say about a man's credentials when he can't win reelection in a small town like Pineville and can't get the nod of his fellow colleagues? Well, have you heard that he's a Democrat and his opponent is a Republican?

Now I know why he harps on that so much... as his former campaign manager says: "the stigma of being from the Republican party may just be the only factor is this race." True 'nuff... for a lightweight like Bruce Hendrickson.
