Ashland State Rep. John Vincent Retiring in 08

As initially reported on Cyberhillbilly last night, reliable sources report Rep. John Vincent (R-Ashland) has made the decision to retire following the conclusion of this term. The 6 term veteran represented a decidedly blue constituency that Republicans will be hard pressed to keep. This would mean a net loss of three seats for Republicans since the elections in 06- where they also lost seats. With Brandon Smith looking at a bid for State Senate in a race where he'd have to file for one or the other race, it's possible House Republicans could slip even further.
