In Kentucky, it's Williams versus Moberly as war of words heats up.

The war of words between Senate President, David Williams, and Harry Moberly, the Chair. of the House Budget Committee, has intensified. Go to Polticsblog or Polwatchers to read more.

A few days back, David Williams accused Harry Moberly of favoring his employer (Eastern Kentucky University) when it comes to doling out state funds during budget committee sessions. Said David Williams:

"I've been at the conference table in the conference many times when he has stood up to have things added for EKU in the budget." "If he doesn’t get what he wants in the budget nobody else is going to get what they want in the budget, or other people can't get things for UK or U of L if he doesn't get what he wants in the budget."

Replying, Harry Moberly said "That is totally untrue" and accused David Williams of being "the one that constantly takes actions like that."

Continuing the war of words, Moberly accused David Williams of "becom[ing] an ego-maniacal manipulator who tries to manipulate the conference committee and he's trying to discredit me because I'm the strong person on the budget on the House committee and he knows I won't let him get what he wants." "Absolute power has corrupted him until now he's turned into an absolute falsehood monger and trying to discredit the one person who will stand up to him in the conference committee."

Folks this could get ugly, and knowing David Williams, you ain't heard the last of this war.
