Budget agreement reached, but "the devil will be in the details" not yet released.
Early this morning House and Senate conferees reached a budget agreement. We do not yet have all the details, so we will update you later.
At least, it looks like a disaster has been averted, and there would not be a special session to craft a budget.
Now that the budget deal may be done, we wonder what bills the Legislature will try to sneak through WITHOUT much deliberation since the budget took up all their time. We hope none, unless each bill has been given SERIOUS consideration FIRST before being passed.
Oh, BTW, today is April Fools Day, but we hope there is no connection between it and the new budget.
