DRILL JOHNNY DRILL!
That was quick. I wrote a few days ago McCain needed to reverse course on offshore drilling as he was hurting GOP candidates like Ann Northup. Well, today he's all in favor of offshore, except ANWR and Ann Northup is starting to make hay with this issue in Louisville, holding a press conference at a gas station, and writing an op-ed in the Courier.
Make no mistake, this issue is a game changer for 2008. People can see with their own eyes what a pain the fuel prices are giving them, then they see Obama and the Dems saying "Let's raise taxes and restrict the supply even more." What, do they have Walter Mondale writing their policy papers these days?
For the next 4 months, the GOP needs to say- Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less.
