Congressman Hal Rogers Is Unopposed Anymore, While Senator Mitch McConnell "Rakes In The Dough".

Who would have thunk that?

U.S. Rep. Hal Rogers, R-Somerset, who is seeking his 15th term in Congress, will have opposition after all. He faces Independent Jim Holbert of London, an helicopter pilot, who Gov. Steve Beshear recently appointed to the Kentucky Airport Zoning Board.

Meanwhile, Senator Mitch McConnell, has "raked in" $3 million in the past three months for his campaign. He has on hand cash of $9 million, after raising over $15 million already.

I expect more Independents to enter into various races for various offices in Kentucky and elsewhere.

Maybe, the two party system will get serious challenges afterall. We all we wait to see how that all "shakes out".
