New Chairman and Executive Director
Warren Rogers and Andy Hightower Join Club Leadership
COVINGTON, Ky. - The Kentucky Club for Growth today announced the addition of Warren Rogers as its new Chairman and Andy Hightower as Executive Director. Warren and Andy join Founder Matth Toebben and President Brian Richmond to expand the Club's advocacy ability.
"We are building a statewide network of leaders who will help us champion the creation of a pro-growth environment in Kentucky," said Mr. Richmond. "Warren and Andy bring incredible experience to their positions and will help the Club continue to build on our success."
Warren Rogers is the President of W. Rogers Company, a Lexington construction company specializing in water facilities. He has been active in several construction associations, including serving as the youngest-ever president of the Kentuckiana Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, and as a board member of the Associated General Contractors of Kentucky. Warren is a strong advocate for free markets, having led the fight against the Lexington city government's attempt to condemn the Kentucky-American Water Company. Those efforts led to a landmark victory in the Kentucky Supreme Court in Rogers v. Isaac et. al. and a referendum victory against condemnation. Warren is a sponsor of Leadership Lexington and received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky.
Andy Hightower has served as a policy advisor to Ernie Fletcher for the last eight years. He served as a Legislative Assistant in Fletcher's Washington D.C. Congressional office, and continued as Policy Advisor to Governor Fletcher, helping direct and develop the administration's policy agenda. He also served as a member of the board of directors for the Kentucky Long-Term Policy Research Center and the Southern Growth Policies Board. Andy earned his bachelor's degree in International Economics at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service.
"I am passionate about making the Commonwealth of Kentucky a better place," said Mr. Rogers. "The triangle of anti-growth forces, in Kentucky's media, Frankfort's leadership and Frankfort's bureaucrats, have held Kentucky back for too long. The Kentucky Club for Growth will throw down the gauntlet in the battle of ideas about how free market principles will lead to greater prosperity."
The Kentucky Club for Growth is an advocacy organization dedicated to economic freedom, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation. It is an affiliate of the national Club for Growth.
