Update: CNN has now CONFIRMED that Barack Obama has offered the VP spot to his Senate colleague, Joe Biden, an EXCELLENT choice who nonetheless lacks military service (a needed quality for Obama, perhaps) and is almost INCAPABLE of keeping his mouth SHUT by way of being diplomatic (speaking one's mind is a GREAT trait, but Joe Biden's way of doing it sometimes is perhaps troubling)!

Anyway, a GREAT choice for Obama, absent the two points I made above.
