Bunning told reporters last week that the National Republican Senatorial Committee did not help him in his last race in 2004, "so why should they help me this time?"

Well, we checked the Federal Election Commission records and what did we find?

The committee provided $466,000 to Bunning's campaign in 2004. And the Republican National Committee threw in an additional $377,000.
