Here's An Email Update From Rand Paul.

Eye Doctor Focuses on May Primary

"The problem is not that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much." - Ronald Reagan

Excitement reached a fever pitch last week as Dr. Rand Paul officially launched his bid for the United States Senate, naming political activist, conservative writer and former Jessamine County Republican Chairman David Adams as his campaign manager.

"David has demonstrated creativity, diplomacy and the tireless work ethic necessary to build a successful statewide campaign," Paul said. "I'm excited to have his support and have great confidence in his ability to organize and build on the liberty movement in Kentucky."

Dr. Paul first announced his candidacy on Bowling Green's WBKO, the Frankfort AP, and Leland Conway's program on Lexington radio. The Kentucky interviews were released simultaneously with two national television interviews in a media blitz which provided considerable name recognition and excitement for his candidacy.

This Saturday, Dr. Paul will be traveling to meet residents of Campbell County at the annual picnic. Senator Jim Bunning will also be in attendence (SIC).

Those interested in seeing Dr. Paul elected as our next senator are encouraged to use the now-functioning volunteer function on the website. Kentucky residents may request bumper stickers and yard signs. Also watch for the campaign store to go live in the near future!

There are now eight days remaining until the August 20th money bomb, a grassroots effort which is set to rock the political establishment in Kentucky. The time is ripe supporters to ramp up their efforts to spread the word, and all good individuals to rally to the cause of liberty! Pledge now.

Let's make 2010 a year that will go down in history as the year that believers in the Constitution began to take back their country!
