When I Read Accounts Like This From The AP About Rand Paul, I Have To Shake My Head In Amazed Disgust.

APNewsBreak: Paul campaign denies FairTax support

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Republican Rand Paul's campaign manager says the tea party favorite hasn't endorsed replacing the federal income tax with a national sales tax.

Jesse Benton told The Associated Press on Friday that a tax reform activist "created a statement" that distorted Paul's stand on a proposal championed by Americans for Fair Taxation to replace the income tax with a 23 percent sales tax.

Benton blamed Paul's former campaign manager, David Adams, for distributing a statement that "does not accurately reflect Dr. Paul's views."

Adams, a member of the tax reform group who served as Paul's campaign manager through the May primary, said he distributed the statement Tuesday only after receiving permission from Benton. The campaign verified the statement to AP at that time.

I find the Paul campaign, the Paul candidacy, digusting, too. Paul's Daily Lie is no longer a surprise, it's expected.
