Republican gubernatorial tickets
Phil Moffett and Mike Harmon
David L. Williams and Richie Farmer
Bobbie Holsclaw and Bill Vermillion Jr.
State Sen. David Williams, R-Burkesville, has remained the front-runner through much of the campaign. Williams, along with his running mate, Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer, have been touring the state in recent weeks as part of the “Lead, Follow or Get out of the Way” tour, touting the motto that Gov. Steve Beshear neither leads nor follows, so it’s time to get out of the way.
Williams and Farmer plan to make a final campaign stop in Bowling Green on Monday evening.
Moffett is hoping to ride the same tea party momentum that U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., rode on his way to victory in November. Moffett often speaks about his “four corners” platform - state sovereignty, tax code reform, improving public education, and a smaller and more fiscally responsible state government.
Bobbie Holsclaw is the current Jefferson County clerk and promotes her ability to work on both sides of the aisle while also managing a large staff and budget in the clerk’s office.
