Steve Beshear Moves Aide To Shore Up His Campaign's Communication Staff.

Beshear aide moving to campaign

Gov. Steve Beshear’s office just sent out a press release saying that Katie Dailinger, his director of communications and policy is leaving to go to work for his reelection campaign. His spokeswoman, Kerri Richardson will take over as director of communications. Here is the press release:

FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 13, 2011) -Governor Steve Beshear today announced that Katie Dailinger, his Director of Communications and Policy, will leave the administration to join the Beshear-Abramson campaign as Communications Director. Kerri Richardson, currently serving as Spokesperson and Deputy Communications for the Office of the Governor, will assume the role of Director of Communications.

“Katie has been an invaluable member of my team since Day One, and I am grateful for her many contributions. I am certain she’ll take on this new challenge with the same energy and enthusiasm she has brought to state government,” said Gov. Beshear. “I have great confidence that Kerri will do an excellent job as she steps into this new role.”

Dailinger’s last day is today, Monday, June 13.
