Re: Green Party endorses Gatewood/Riley
__________________________________________________________________________
Gatewood Galbraith and Dea Riley - Independent candidates for Governor and
Lt. Governor - are honored to accept the endorsement of the Kentucky Green
Party. The KGP is the embodiment of those individuals who represent best
use practice of Kentucky's natural resources and environmental stewardship.
This endorsement serves as yet another example as to how the Gatewood/Riley
ticket appeals to a broad array of support from varying ideologies. The
Green Party endorsement serves as proof, our administration can accomplish
harmony among opposing interests to serve in the best interest of all
Kentucky.

The Kentucky Green Party has endorsed Gatewood Galbraith and Dea Riley
(Independents) for Governor and Lieutenant Governor, respectively. The
party has not endorsed any other candidates on the 2011 ballot, nor is it
fielding any of its own candidates this year.
The Beshear & Williams campaigns refused to respond to a questionnaire the
party had sent to the three candidates for Governor. Kentucky voters
registered with the Green Party were canvassed about the Galbraith/Riley
responses, which are available at www.kygreenparty.org .
The Green Party strives to be pro-environment, pro-working people,
pro-diversity, and pro-peace. Gatewood Galbraith is the only candidate who
has promised to end mountaintop removal mining in Kentucky. Without a Green
Party candidate in the race, Kentucky's voters were left to support the
ticket that most closely represents the four major Green values.
Neither the Green Party nor the Galbraith-Riley campaign accepts campaign
contributions from corporations.
