gROUP sEEKING tO rESTORE vOTING rIGHTS tO fELONS wHO hAVE sERVED tHEIR pRISON tIME nEEDS yOUR URGENT hELP.

The push to restore voting rights to former felons who have served their debt to society in Kentucky is coming to a head in the state senate. Groups like Kentuckians For The Commonwealth, Take Back Kentucky, recovery groups, religious groups, labor groups, tea party groups and others are coming together with a rallying cry of "no taxation without representation" to make sure that all Kentucky citizens are allowed to vote. The bill passed the House 78-18 and is close to passing in the Senate Judiciary committee. Can you take 2 minutes to pick up the phone and make a difference on this issue?

Call the Legislative Message Line (1-800-372-7181). The Message Line is open later than you'd think - 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday). Leave a message for the "Senate Judiciary Committee," "Senate Leadership," plus your own Senator. Message: "Please support House Bill 70."
