Well, it turns out that the term "Compasionate Conservatism" is not just a misleading campaign slogan. So says Arthur C. Brooks, a professor of public administration at Syracuse University, and the author of a book titled who really cares? and subtitled: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservatism. In it, Mr. Brooks reveals the religious give more than the secular, that conservatives give more than liberals, and that the working poor give a higher percentage of their incomes than anyone else.
