Doug Alexander: Borrowing ideas from other states is NOT a bad idea.
Doug Alexander, executive director of the Commonwealth Progress, repeats what I had suggested here: that the plagiarisms of some gubernatorial candidates (other than for given credit to the sources) are much ado about nothings. But Mr. Alexander goes further to argue that Kentucky -- at the bottom of the rung in almost every measurable social issue -- needs to borrow ideas that work from those states.
