Showdown looms as Bush claims executive privilege for Karl Rove and Scott Jennings, plus etc. .
President Bush has now claimed executive privilege for Karl Rove and Scott Jennings. Most of you know Scott Jennings, a Kentucky native, and deputy political adviser to Bush and one of the best political operatives in Kentucky -- maybe in the nation. Chances are that Congress will go to court over what appears to be a "looming" constitutional political fight, but I am skeptical over their chances of success.
Also, another "looming" crisis concerns Alberto Gonzales' alleged perjured Congressional testimony and the WH'S desire to defy Congress, which sought a clarification of the Gonzales' that the WH sees as protected from disclosure.
And in other news category, Obama talks tough to Pakistan and "Rummy" Rumsfeld denies a cover-up in the Army Ranger and former NFL star, Pat Tillman's death and aftermath. An Army Maj. Gen. Stanley McChrystal has already being disciplined in the matter.
Stay tuned.
