Person for the week: Representative Darryl Owens and Governor Steve Beshear.

I have racked my brain trying to figure out who needs to be the person for the week and I am finding that a lot of people are deserving. From President Bush, who went to the Middle East to seek peace, to Hillary Clinton, who defied the pundit's odds to win the New Hampshire primary, to Barack Obama, who snagged the endorsement of John Kerry (and snubbing John Edwards in the process; but wait: it may be a set up as John Kerry may have figured out that Obama will pick Edwards as Veep candidate, thereby making John Kerry's "BOLD" action chicken excrement), to the guys, who discovered the "proteins" that MAY result in a vaccine for AIDS, to Louisville Council members, James Peden, R-23rd District, and the always reliable Conservative Doug Hawkins, R-25th, (Cheri Bryant Hamilton voted "present" -- whatever that means!) who voted against the smoking ban (Editor's Note: I believe smoking is lethal, but the issue here should be about a business owner's property rights!!), to Representative, Darryl Owens and Governor Steve Beshear, who took the first steps towards FINALLY establishing an ethical government for Kentuckians. Please note: The fact that Steve Beshear may have been pushed to do so sooner than he wanted to is besides the point. The fact is that he is, at least, trying to do something about ethics, rather than merely talk about it; and, that, to us, is worthy of the co-person for the week.

Honorable mentions: Louisville Council members, James Peden, R-23rd District, and the always reliable Conservative Doug Hawkins, R-25th, who stood up for the Constitution.
