Person For The Week: Senator Ted Kennedy.

If you have to ask why Ted Kennedy merits to be named the Person For the week, then you should NOT be reading this post, and if I have to explain to you why, then the explanation will cause your brain to hurt -- literally.

So enjoy the post, will ya?

Any questions?

Honorary mention: Attorney General, Eric Holder, for knowing the difference between Justice and INJUSTICE:

Our Person For The Week: Senator Chris DUDD -- Sorry DODD.

In case you have not heard, the Senator from Connecticut is almost SOLELY responsible for the AIG bonus package that he slipped into the bailout deal passed by Congress. For that maneuver, and the resulting public outrage, he merits our person for the week.

Person For The Week: Bernie Madoff.

The man who showed us that greed knows NO limits, Bernie [Who] "Made-Off" With $Billions, is our Person for the week.

Honorable mention:

Kentucky's junior Senator, Jim Bunning.

Nothing else needs to be said.

Person For The Week: Abraham "Honest Abe" Lincoln.

EVERYONE NOW wants a piece of the honest one.

When he was alive, many, including almost ALL of Kentucky shunned him.

Now Kentucky claims him as a favorite son.

Maybe, his honesty and integrity was what turned him off for Kentucky, the third most corrupt state in the union.

We *SIGH* and choose our hero as the Person for the Week -- in fact, if we had a category for the person for the past two centuries, it would be "Honest Abe".

Person For The Week: POTUS Barack Obama.

Our person for the week for the past three weeks has been POTUS Barack Obama --just as he is for this week to, which is no exception -- that we have bothered not to recognize him for the sake of what may appear to be sheer redundancy.

Today, at the sake of redundancy, we post of his accomplishment today by recognizing him.

Others, believe it or not, have not escaped our attention, so we nominate them as our special mentions. They are:

Senator Mitch McConnell, and the band of Republicans who exhibited Conservative credentials and opposed the bailout pig with lipstick; and the week before, we recognize the Captain of the U. S. Airways, Chesley Sullenberger III, whose plane landed in the Hudson river.

Person For The Week: President Barack Hussein Obama.

I'm sure some of you will love my use of the middle name Hussein, and others of you will see a "slap in the face", but either way, if you have to guess who our Person for the week is -- or ought to be -- then you probably should NOT be reading this post, as it will HURT your brain cells.

By the way, the "slap in the face" is my intended effect, and I hope it hit home to some of you (you know who you are).

Person For The Week: ACORN.

When you register Mickey Mouse to vote and sign up a Teenager 72 times to vote, and have the F. B. I. investigating your organization for any reason, you deserve our pick for the week, except that your pick is for DUBIOUS reasons, in the same way that people like Adolph Hitler made Times Man of The Year.

So enjoy it, folks at ACORN, as this may be the only good recognition you'll receive before some of you are hurled to Prison.

After Sounding Embarrassingly Like The Clueless Air Headed Broad The Past Few Weeks, Sarah Palin Emerges As Our Person For The Week After Debate!

Yes, Sarah Palin wins our Person for the week honor by NOT imploding last night (after weeks of low debate performance expectations) and detonating a NUCLEAR -- em, NUKULAR -- political devise on the John McCain/Sarah Palin campaign.

Yes, you are right.

Sarah Palin WINS BY NOT LOSING.

YEP. How about that!

Standing with Sarah Palin is our honorable mention for Person for the week, Joe Biden (Joe Six Pack?).

Why?

Joe Biden was charged with the first task of beating Sarah Palin at the debate (can you imagine what would have happened to Joe Biden politically speaking, if he had, instead of winning, loses?), and he delivered TRIUMPHANTLY.

But Joe also ran the risk of "running his mouth", delivering gaffes and blunders, AND appearing to be a BULLY to the "lipsticked (never mind), and he managed to do the debate without exhibiting these flaws.

Person For The Week: Bill "BUBBA" Clinton.

Our Person for the week is a person who was hardly mentioned in the news, and who, several years ago, reminded us that, as far as general elections are concerned, "it's the economy stupid!"

And that man is our former president, Bill "BUBBA" Clinton.

Honorable mention: The mess on "Wall Street" allows Kentucky's Junior Senator to showcase his REAL Conservative credentials, suggesting that maybe, just maybe, someone connected with the Federal Reserve Board or the financial regulatory community ought to be listening to him.

Person For The Week: Hillary Clinton.

The task of choosing a person for the week was a HUGE one this week.

It could have easily been Joe Biden, but he has so far been less than news worthy, in a commanding sort of way.

It could have been Michelle Obama, but no matter how good her performance was in giving her speech, she did not merit the accolade.

Barack Obama?

Well, he was supposed to be the week's subject but he was upstaged in that regard (other than for his news worthy text message that had EVERYONE on "pins and needles" waiting for that familiar ring tone that announced the arrival of a text message. Moreover, I found his speech less than inspiring, unlike his speech about Rev. Wright, which I felt was near MLK, Jr.'s "I have a dream speech".

So who is it?

When you think about it, Hillary Clinton managed to upstage Barack Obama, and her CLASSY act -- I know, I know, many of you do not think those words should be used in the sentence with the Clintons, but bear with me -- of moving for Obama to be nominated by acclamation, together with the press wondering if her presence at the convention was an impending train wreck qualifies her as our person for the week.

John McCain qualifies for honorable mention for his SURPRISE pick of Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin, as VP candidate, and only missed the person for the week honor because he has not generated enough news for the week.

I'll let you guess who might be shaping up to be next week's person for week.

Person For The Week: Barack Obama.

Does ANYONE, in good conscience, question who the Person for the week is, or ought to be?

The answer, of course, is NO.

So we present to you our Person for the week: Barack Obama, and also give some props to his wife, Michelle.

Person For The Week: Joe Prather.

Our Person for the week is Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Secretary, Joe Prather.

We choose him, NOT only for the simple fact that he has been in the news because of the "CESSPOOL", but he is our person for the week because he promises to clean out the "CESSPOOL".

I know, I know, many of you are going to take issue with the last statement because you will conclude that you have heard that kind of talk in Kentucky for decades.

To those of you who say that I say that Mr. Prather appears determined to be different.

One thing that convinces us that he might be different freom his predecessors is for three reasons:

First, he has already turned down Leonard Lawson's alleged corrupt overtures;

Second, his boss, Governor Steve Beshear does NOT appear to have been bought with campaign money by Mr. Lawson; and,

Thirdly, Mr. Prather NEVER, as far as we know, solicited for the job, whether on his behalf or in behalf of highway contractors like Mr. Lawson.

These three points give us hope that Mr. Prather may prove to be the "CESSPOOL CLEANER".

So join me in drinking to Mr. Prather's health and courage.

Person For The Week: Barack "BLACK JFK" Obama.

Our person for the week is CLEARLY Barack Obama, dubbed the Black JFK by Germans during his speech yesterday.

If you have to wonder why Barack Obama is our person for the week, then you either have being living under a rock some in the jungles of New Guinea or you are one of those "whining" about all the press Barack Obama is getting -- press which John McCain unwittingly sent his way, by daring him to visit the Middle East.

I'm sure you'd agree that I need say NO more.
