I am one of those who has a Conservative's aversion to taxes, but ...

... sin taxes, such as cigarette taxes, are a different matter. I don't mind them, as they are needed to help pay for the increased costs of health care for those who choose to smoke and get sick, as long as other "sins" like alcohol are also proportionately taxed. So that's why I support this tax, for it will prove more useful than useless for Kentucky in the long run.
