I think he may, to overcome Obama's advantage with African Americans, or to lure African Americans to the Republican Party!
Whether that stunt will work remains to be seen.

If he wants to have any hope of winning, he'll distance himself from the Bush administration as much as possible without actually snubbing them.
Jean, you are right, and if he picks her, then he has pretty much BOUGHT the Iraq war, meaning that his success or failure in the general election will depend on how the war "shakes out" before then!
I agree with Jean 100 percent.
It would be sure death to McCains efforts if he picks her.
Not that I don't like her, I really do. But it would cost him ALL the cross-over votes from Dems and Independants if he went with her
