The Democratic Party has an un-democratic primary process in which votes and delegates won doesn't matter.
Unconstrained superdelegates are the only ones who matter. They treat votes like polls.
It doesn't matter how many delegates you "win." You have to lobby and convince superdelegates to vote for you.
