Calling Barack Obama "A Boy" Is Going TOO Far, Even For A Man Named Geoff (Jefferson?) Davis.

I did NOT attend Saturday's 4th District Lincoln Day Dinner, but from those who attended it appears that Congressman, Geoff Davis, referred to Senator and Presidential candidate (and likely Democratic nominee) Barack Obama as "a boy". Listen to the speech.

I don't know about you, but Geoff Davis ought to be the LAST person interjecting racism in this election -- or maybe NOT.

You see back in them days, calling a grown Black man a "BOY" was a way to humiliate him because of his race, and to make him feel less of a man.

Maybe, there was NO malice intended. If so, Geoff Davis needs to apologize to Barack Obama for attempting to re-create the days of Jim Crow.

Editor's note:
I have removed Jefferson from the Congressman's name. The information I recieved does NOT pan out that his first name Geoff is short for Jefferson. It is Geoffrey.

Osi,

You shouldn't believe anything you hear from Marcus Carey.

Geoff Davis (his name is Geoffrey, not Jefferson) supported you when you ran for office. It's a shame you would promote a ludicrous attack on a man who has never show a racial bias, has served as a volunteer chaplain in prisons, has worked in inner-city Cincinnati schools, and has been a friend to immigrants to this country, helping hundreds of them through his office.

I've always been a fan of yours, but I can't believe you would jump on the bandwagon of a grudge campaign promoted by Marcus Carey to attack an honorable man.

FOR WHATEVER IT IS WORTH, I LIKE CONGRESSMAN DAVIS, AND HIS WIFE IS A VERY nice WOMAN. MY WIFE LOVES HER, TOO.

I WILL ALWAYS STAND ON THE SIDE OF DOING THE RIGHT THING AND CONGRESSMAN DAVIS SHOULD, TOO.

HIS COMMENT ABOUT OBAMA BEING A "BOY" IS A HORRIBLE COMMENT AND MUST MERIT AN IMMEDIATE APOLOGY.

FOR WHATEVER IT'S WORTH ALSO, I STILL LIKE CONGRESSMAN DAVIS AND HIS WIFE, BUT WRONG IS WRONG, FOLKS.

CONGRESSMAN DAVIS, IF YOU ARE READING THIS POST: LET'S GET THAT APOLOGY GOING, SHALL WE -- BEFORE YOU DO YOUR POLITICAL LIFE IMMENSE DAMAGE!?
