Kentucky Legislature Runs Out Of Time -- Again.
The Kentucky Legislature adjourned Sine Die yesterday after "running out of time", according
to Speaker Jody Richards.
This running out of time is in spite of the 60 days the Lawmakers had to pass MEANINGFUL legislation, like the sunshine law and ethics in government, amongst MANY.
It seems like every legislative session we are treated to the twin visits of "running out of time" and a final day reminiscent of sausage making.
Maybe, it is true after all that Kentucky is getting EXACTLY what it deserves.
Update: Governor Steve Beshear calls session disappointing.
We say: Governor: You are being GENEROUS!
