Brett Guthrie For Congress Post Election Statement.
Here's the press release:
Guthrie for Congress Post Primary Statement
(Bowling Green, KY) State Senator Brett Guthrie, the Republican nominee for Congress in Kentucky’s Second Congressional District has issued the following statement:
“I am looking forward to the general election campaign where voters will hear from me about ending our nation’s unsustainable dependence on foreign oil, keeping taxes low to foster job creation, pursuing solutions to lower the cost of health insurance, and bringing a much-needed change in attitude to Washington D.C. Voters will also hear about my background – West Point graduate, veteran, manufacturer, husband and father – and common-sense, conservative values.”
“This election is about the future of our children. Will our schools provide the education they need to compete in a world economy? Will they spend their lives paying debts incurred because of my generation’s reckless overspending? Will they inherit a world where global terrorism is defeated, or a world where terrorism reigns because we did not have the courage to do all that is necessary to protect our way of life?”
“I will be a Congressman more interested in solving problems than in political posturing, more interested in providing a better world for our children and grandchildren to inherit than scoring cheap political points in even-numbered years. I look forward to bringing a practical message of positive change to the voters of Kentucky’s Second Congressional District, and hope to earn their confidence and support this November.”
