Four years ago the idiot Mayor of San Francisco defied the law and touched off a massive referenda backlash against gay marriage in 11 states that probably assured George Bush's re-election.
Now the liberal Supremacists on the California high court decided they know better than the citizens, overturning an initiative passed in 2000 outlawing gay marriage.
But it turns out social conservatives have them cut off at the pass. They already have a constitutional amendment filed on that for the 2008 November ballot. The California initiative will be front and center now all through the Presidential election.
It will be fun to see Obama try to weasel his way out of taking a stand on this issue. I think he has to keep the liberal base happy, and bye-bye Red States, if he ever had a chance there.
