Just In Time For The Election?: Congressman John Yarmuth Is Close To Landing A $45 Million VA Hospital For Louisville, Kentucky.

This, according to our friends over at the ARENA (Joe Gerth gets the H/T).

Here's an excerpt form the post:

It looks like U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth, D-3rd District, is well on his way toward securing $45 million to acquire land and start site work on a new Veterans Administration hospital in Louisville.

And it's coming right in time for his November reelection campaign against former Rep. Anne Northup, the Republican. ...

According to the press release from Yarmuth's office, appropriation has cleared the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee. It now must be approved as part of the budget by the appropriations committee and then the full House and Senate.

Look for the Democrats to try their hardest to keep this in the budget as it could help Yarmuth seal his reelection, which would benefit all Democrats in Washington as the party tries to strenghten its hold on both the House and the Senate.
