Osama Bin Laden's Former Driver, Salim Hamdan, Is The First "GITMO" Accused To Be "Driven" To Trial.
Yes, he is, and he is the first to appear before a court for trial since after the Supreme Court's "GITMO" ruling the Hamden case, and the latest of the Court's opinion allowing "enemy combatants" to "Habeas" their "Corpus" before the D. C. Federal Court.
According to the court: "Hamdan is to face a military commission designed by Congress under guidelines laid down by the Supreme Court."
The judge was the same judge who found the original Congressional Act unconstitutional, and later upheld the changed version passed by Congress. The guidelines in question have already been discussed here. (You can find them by searching Supreme Court cases on this blog).
