The Republican challenger in the contest for the 35th District state Senate race in Jefferson County was arrested yesterday and charged with wanton endangerment, assault and menacing.
John Albers, 47, was being held at Metro Corrections today on a $10,000 full cash bond, corrections officials said. He could not be reached for comment.
Albers, who is challenging incumbent Denise Harper Angel for her seat in the state Senate, is accused of confronting a man he knew from his neighborhood on two separate occasions.
