Below is the email blast Bruce Lunsford sent out today:
Dear ,
While we're all excited to see the Presidential Debate tonight, it shouldn’t have been the only one. The Kentucky League of Women Voters had a long-scheduled forum between Bruce and Mitch McConnell set for today.
Last week, once polling showed that this race for U.S. Senate had become neck-and-neck, Mitch McConnell backed out.
We're sorry that Kentucky won't get a chance to see Bruce debate Senator McConnell about this economic crisis and how we can work to fix the problems that Washington helped create. The Bluegrass State deserves a chance to judge our campaigns side-by-side. Sadly, Mitch McConnell seems to think that's asking too much.

Perhaps the fact that Mitch McConnell thinks so little of debate and open exchanges of ideas explains how he became the most obstructionist, least collegial Minority Leader in the history of the Senate: why debate on the merits what you can block on technicalities?
Whether it's avoiding his critics or blocking progress, Mitch McConnell is not going to change. That's a big part of why Kentucky needs to change Senators in November.
