David Brooks: Sarah Palin "Represents A Fatal Cancer To The Republican Party".
Editor's comment: I was one of those who was gung-ho about Sarah Palin (because she and I share more by way of political philosophy than I share with John McCain, Barack Obama or Joe Biden), but after the euphoria died down, I have had to ask myself the question (bearing in mind that I am STRONGLY COMMITTED to doing what's BEST for my COUNTRY and NOT for my POLITICAL PARTY): what if Sarah Palin has to become President, if something happens to John McCain, can she handle the demands of that office -- this has nothing to do with her gender because many women, like Hillary Clinton would?
Based on what I have seen, heard and read, I have SERIOUS doubts (but I'm glad I do NOT have to cast my vote today!).
And I think more than the economy, this thought and response about Sarah Palin is what is REALLY dragging down John McCain and causing voters to pause!!
