Kentucky football title games heading to Bowling Green

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky's state high school football championships will be played in Bowling Green in 2009 and 2010.
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association board of control voted 14-1 today to play the six title games at Western Kentucky University's Houchens/L.T. Smith Stadium Dec. 4-5 2009 and Dec. 3-4 2010.
The finals have been played in Louisville since 1979. But the University of Louisville could not guarantee that its Papa John's Cardinal Stadium would be available for those dates.
