Louisville Mayor, Jerry Abramson, Vetos New "Prevailing Wages" Ordinance.

Read more here.

Question: If a Democratic Mayor of a largely unionized metro area that tends Democratic finds "prevailing wages" to be "... "obstacles to job creation and economic investment [that] put Louisville at a serious disadvantage with competitor cities in attracting private-sector jobs and economic development," then it is obvious that both Democrats and Republicans ought to be united in opposing it.

We, therefore, applaud the Mayor's stance that "as leaders, I believe now is the time to focus our energies on creating jobs, not obstacles to job creation."
