It's funny that Northup supporters claim that the Libs want Fletcher to win, and yet not a word is said in the Liberal Print Media of Kentucky about the abysmal performance of Northup, and they attempt to twist words to make the Governor a liar. The Gov. said "nothing criminal, we made mistakes, but nothing criminal" which is exactly what he's said all along. Now they want to re-write history by claiming that he said that there was never any wrong-doing.
My head hurts trying to understand liberal logic.

It's a liberal conspiracy. They want Congresswoman N'up to win b/c she's a liberal. Or maybe they want us to think they want N'up to win so that we'll back Fletcher instead and their guy can win in November. Or maybe...

On the other hand (OK, I'm an octupus), maybe they're just reflecting a little legitimate discomfort w/ this administration and it's legal problems (and yes, I've heard, that was part of another liberal conspiracy... but we'll save that one for another day.)

The fact of the matter is...what the Governor did WAS CRIMINAL. What many of his subordinates did WAS CRIMINAL. That's why he had to PARDON THEM. And oddly, he pardoned some people that hadn't even been charged at the time.

The bottom line is that he is unsuited to serve as Chief Executive of this state, the same as Paul Patton.

WE need a new Governor. A REAL REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR. Whether that's Anne Northup or Billy Harper, doesn't matter. We need someone new to grab the reins.

I'm a STAUNCH, HARD CORE Republican. I won't be voting for Fletcher in this primary, and if he wins the primary, I won't be voting for him in the fall election. Why should I be forced to choose between two democrats? I might as well vote for the one that actually labels himself a democrat.

That's Ernie's problem. He's a Democrat. Call himself what he will...look at his actions, look at his policies. He appointed over 65% Democrats to his administration. Most of them hold-overs from the Patton Administration. That's right. Don't get mad at me, these are HIS WORDS not mine.

I did a little research of my own:
A grand jury of everyday Kentuckians indicted 29 members of this administration on 85 counts, many of them felonies. The grand jury did issue a report that said the corruption went all the way to the top levels of the administration...Meaning the Governor himself.

Fletcher pardoned everyone in the administration charged in the investigation, except himself, and negotiated with Stumbo to drop the three misdemeanor charges against him.

Are these the actions of a just man? The actions of a good executive? The actions of a man that I want to see back in Frankfort? I think NOT.

I'm not voting for Ernie either. I agree.

As a solidly conservative republican, I've come to the conclusion that Fletcher is not conservative and is not a good leader. The people whom he has surrounded himself with are not the best the Commonwealth has to offer. As a matter of fact he had some of the best and they left. Additionally, he has crippled small business not helped them.
