Bush vetoes pork-laden iraq war bill, says "[i]t makes no sense to tell the enemy when you plan to start withdrawing" -- I AGREE!
Watch the video and read the transcript to see if you agree, too.
Update 5/1, at 1:40 p. m.: The U. S. House just now failed to override the President's veto. The vote was 203 (196 republicans) to sustain the veto and 220 for veto override -- well short of the two-thirds needed. Stay tuned as Congress and the President try to figure out the next move to PROPERLY fund the Iraq war -- WITHOUT the PORK and WITHOUT telling Al-Qaeda when we plan on exiting!
Update #2: Bush redefines success in the Iraq war as "... a level of violence where the people feel comfortable about living their daily lives. And that's what we're trying to achieve." Read a text of the speech.

Dial down the level of success, check.
Demand no accountability, check.
Leave it all to the guy who comes in Jan 2009, check.
Would you rather have a PORK bill and a bill that tells the enemy when we're quitting? I hope NOT.
Everything found has proven the Bush administration wrong about WMD the "threat" ect, ect.
They started a war under a false pretense.
Without a strategy for success.
Without proper equipment and training.
Without accountablility from the Iraqi government.
Dishonored our commitment to our veterans here at home.
Is Bush worth dieing for??
NO ONE has yet answered my question: would you rather have a PORK bill that tells our enemy when we plan on going home or one that contains none of these CLEARLY objectionable provisions?
