C-J's candidate profile: Anne Northup.

This is the C-J's candidate profile. This time it's Anne Northup and her running mate, Jeff Hoover.

I particularly like what Jeff had to say: "My philosophy is, you can have your Republican principles, you can have your Democrat principles. But at the end of the day, it's not what's good for Republicans or Democrats, it's what's good for Kentucky."

I wholeheartedly AGREE. How about you?

Al Cross has a new piece, Kentucky's primary, in a nutshell, where he discusses the gubernatorial race. He wisely concluded the piece by cautioning against "count[ing Northup] out -- especially if voters start paying closer attention" to her new ads, notwithstanding what the SURVEYUSA poll may say.

I AGREE that no candidate should be counted out or in -- at least UNTIL the votes are counted. History teaches of candidates who "won" until the vote count. With an anticipated anemic primary election, anything is possible and any candidate can win. What do you think?

I think Fletcher and his cronies are going to wake up very surprised on the 23rd of may. Dis-mayed might be the word for the Fletchers after 600pm on the 22nd.
