Intelligence Report: Progress in Iraq but no political stability.
A new intelligence report on Iraq concludes "that the Iraqi Government will become more precarious over the next six to 12 months" and "that Iraq’s neighbors will continue to focus on improving their leverage in Iraq in anticipation of a Coalition drawdown."
For us in the U. S., it's a "darned if you do, and darned if you don't" picture presented by the report!
But the picture that WILL ULTIMATELY count is the one to be presented to the world by General Petreaus, on September 15th.
How would you like to be him just about now, in preparation to give Congress HIS report!!
Quick update: U. S. Republican Senator from Virginia, John Warner, will tell Bush to "bring the soldiers home by Christmas!"
