Polls stay nearly the same: Fletcher 37%, Beshear 58%.

The latest SURVEYUSA poll is out for August. I have NOT seen the stats. and I will analyze the polling when the stats. are published. Until then, you can check out Mark Hebert's analysis here since he sounds like he has seen it.

Any thoughts?

Update: Here are the stats..

The stats. show that Fletcher is strong among Hispanics (58 to 42%), Republicans (expected -- 67 t0 29%), amongst those who don't like gambling (59%), Billy Harper's voters (50%), but is losing an important group (Democrats -- expected -- 85 to 13%) Independents (62 to 25%), Moderates (73 to 22) and Anne Northup's voters (42 to 53%) and those who did NOT vote in the primary election (35 to 57%). Regionally, Fletcher is highest in Western Kentucky (43%) and lowest in Louisville (31%). The other regions of the state fall in between those numbers. There you go, my promise to do an analysis of the poll has been kept.

The poll oversampled Republicans, and Beshear still leads by 20. Goodbye, Ernie!
