Battle for the soul of the Republican Party: Should the party of Lincoln and Reagan choose the "big tent" in order to avoid a "perilous path"? ...

... or should the party do the opposite?

Well, the answer depends on who you ask, though it is THE question that the Republican Party will have to confront post DISASTROUS 2007 for Republicans and with an eye towards 2008 and beyond.

As for me, to say that I have NOT been disappointed at what I thought IS the party of Abraham Lincoln is to LIE. To claim, as some have or may do so here, that a lot of Republicans have been governing by applying REAL Republican principles is to tell another LIE.
