Dollars, Polls, Endorsements, Pundits

Blue Grass, Red State

The good people of Texas know conservatism, and most of them simply do not want a Democrat to become President. So who do they like in the 2008 Republican primary?

Texas Governor Rick Perry endorsed Rudy Giuliani today, saying "Executive experience matters for the next president of the United States." Perry also stated that the next president "must be willing to act decisively to respond to threats without dialing up their lawyers first."

The people of the Texas, on the other hand, are narrowly choosing Fred Thompson so far in one way. Even though Giuliani leads in the polls, Fred Thompson has received about $1.2 million from Texans while Giuliani has received about $970,000 from Texans.

This supports my opinion that Fred Thompson or Rudy Giuliani should be the nominee, even though most pundits have come to the conclusion that the nominee will be either Mitt Romney or Rudy Giuliani.
