Beshear would be smart to "play it safe",stay positive and emphasize his ideas and plans rather than continuing to attack Fletcher on the merit hiring scandal. The 527's are doing an adequate job with their attack ads and there is no reason for Beshear to go negative as everyone already knows what Ernie is or isn't.
It will take a "Hail Mary", more money and divine intervention for Fletcher to win. I do not see the big money going to an incumbent who is down by 16 to 20%!
