Comment: I watched the film "Home of the Brave" over the long weekend.The movie revolves around the lives of 4 Americans returning from the war in Iraq and the emotional and physical trauma of that experience.
President George Bush and all members of Congress
should be required to watch this film!
I am a Republican and a Conservative who has come to the realization that this war is the wrong war,in the wrong place, at the wrong time and for the wrong reasons!
It is time for the President to admit the war is a mistake and bring all of our troops home as quickly as can be done. There should not be another single American injured or killed in this futile effort to bring democracy to a nation that does not understand it or appreciate the sacrifices made by our young men and women.
Iraq is a nation artificially created at the end of WWI by Britain from the remnants of the Ottoman Turk empire that put three diverse ethnic and religious groups into a nation whose hatred and enmity for one another goes back centuries!
No matter when America pulls out its forces there will be continued secular violence and civil war for generations to come.End this war now and let's concentrate on restoring freedom ,constitutional rights and defending America from all enemies,foreign and domestic!
God bless America and all of those who fight for us and defend our nation!
