We welcome the news that Senator Mitch McConnell has appointed a task to study greater government transparency and fiscal responsibility.

Read the story in the Hill. That's good news, indeed. The more transparency and fiscal responsibility we have in government, the safer and more secure the people are in their pocketbooks.

Now, Kentucky should try a little dose of that transparency and fiscal responsibility medicine, too.
