Greg Fischer Responds To Courier-Journal And Paducah Sun Editorials.

Greg Fischer has responded to the editorials from the Courier-Journal and Paducah Sun editorials slamming him for "tak[ing] a page out of Hillary Clinton's playbook" With "Unfair Attack Ads" Against Bruce Lunsford.

Here is an excerpt from his "shining a light on the truth" response:

I take exception to the Paducah Sun editorial that was reprinted on the Forum page of The Courier-Journal yesterday. The Sun editorial characterizes my campaign against Bruce Lunsford in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate as "unfair and inaccurate." If shining a light on the truth is the Sun's definition of "unfair and inaccurate" then I gladly accept their conclusion. The truth of our ad is supported by the public record.

Lunsford's assertion that Vencor admitted no guilt when it settled a billing-fraud case with the Department of Justice offers little reassurance to concerned voters. Likewise, Lunsford's assertion that he had no personal knowledge that Vencor was evicting elderly Medicaid patients in favor of patients who could pay more, begs the question: "Why not?"

Like I said, Greg Fischer's efforts in this regard could be too little too late, if you believe the SurveyUSA poll -- and I do!
