HECKUVA JOB BUSHIES

If you want to see in microcosm just how the once vaunted Bush White House went off the rails, look no farther than this week's humiliation in Saudi Arabia. The President of the United States, for god sakes, personally comes a calling to the Saudis to ask for some help on the oil shortage and he gets treated like Charles Barkley at a casino credit desk. Why on earth would President Bush go in asking for such a thing without having a deal ahead of time? And if not, don't go anywhere near the place. This is insane.

The worst part of it is, no one will be fired for this, especially the person in charge of foreign policy supposedly, Ms. Condi Rice. I would call her as dumb as the proverbial fence post, but then, that's awfully unfair to fence posts.

Ever since the Bush White House was slammed down in the PR nightmare of Katrina it has been one failure after another.

I have always maitained the Bush folks are not nearly so smart as they supposed; Bush only won in 2000 out of disgust with Clinton, then won in 2004 in solidarity over 9/11 and with the great job of outsiders, like the Swift Boat veterans and bloggers who nailed Dan Rather.

But there is only so much conservative activists can do. And now what's left of the Bush administration isn't even trying. It's really sad. At least if he should win, even John McCain has already figured out he wants nothing to do with W's people in his administration.
