Kentucky Secretary Of State Says Kentucky Turnout Was 43% Democrats, 19% Republicans.

Although we will not know official figures for turnout for several months, our office is estimating turnout for all of Kentucky to be 32% (43% Democrats, 19% Republicans, approximately). Over the last five years, Kentuckians have continued to increase their participation in elections, and we are hopeful that these encouraging results will continue through the election in November.”

The previous record turnout for a Presidential Primary was 26.5% in 1992 (31% for Democrats and 19% for Republicans).
