Kentucky Secretary Of State Says Kentucky Turnout Was 43% Democrats, 19% Republicans.

Here is the press release:

Although we will not know official figures for turnout for several months, our office is estimating turnout for all of Kentucky to be 32% (43% Democrats, 19% Republicans, approximately). Over the last five years, Kentuckians have continued to increase their participation in elections, and we are hopeful that these encouraging results will continue through the election in November.”

Notes:

The previous record turnout for a Presidential Primary was 26.5% in 1992 (31% for Democrats and 19% for Republicans).
