While We Are On The Topic Of Human (Civil) Rights, Let Us Acknowledge The Passing Of Reverend Louis Coleman.
Leading local activist, Reverend Louis Coleman, has passed away.
Read more about it on C-J's website.
As the C-J aptly concluded, one cannot dispute the fact that Rev. Coleman tried to help erase injustice, regardless of whether one agrees -- or not -- with his tactics or results, and that's an observation that cannot be made about many of us.
So far that, he deserves credit for his tireless pursuit of justice and his death is a loss to our community, and we mourn his passing.
Update: How ironic -- don't you think?
Update #2: The H-L is reporting that "Mattie Jones will succeed the late Rev. Louis Coleman as head of Louisville's Justice Resource Center."
