Paul co-sponsors term-limit legislation in Senate
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Rand Paul is co-sponsoring legislation that would set term limits in both the Senate and House.
Paul said Friday he had signed on to the legislation calling for a constitutional amendment that would limit terms to 12 years per chamber.
The measure was introduced by U.S. Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana.
Paul said his cosponsorship of the legislation fulfills a campaign promise he had made to press for term limits.
The legislation is SJR 1.
So call your Congressman/woman to support SJR 1, and thank David Vitter and Rand Paul, and anyone else who votes for the resolution.
